Things are coming together as I get to the end of the procrastination line. I am super busy at work and we had a couple of 'snow days' which didn't help. I had to cancel my travel clinic appointment because of the snow (for you east coasters - yes, we cancel stuff here when it snows!), so I will not be taking malarial medication. Just as well, I was pretty ambivalent about it anyway.
When I went to the drug store to buy my single dose Dukoral, I found out the expiry date is years away so I asked if there is any savings to buying the two dose pack, figuring I would save dose # 2 for my fall trip. One cent savings! Hmm. So, I just bought the single dose and took it on Monday.
It is Dine Around Victoria where all of the restaurants put on deals for three course dinners. Plus I will be away for my birthday so I have had quite a few fancy pre-celebratory dinners in the last week, with wine. I am actually worried I won't fit my travel pants. That's a Tuesday morning problem I guess.
That's really all I've done for planning/packing since my last update. This weekend is well booked up too but I will manage to shove some stuff in a bag.
I thought I might try to buy an upgrade to Business class for the 12 hour Vancouver to Seoul flight. But the bid was starting at $1700, one way!. Nope, I will fold myself into a back-of-the-bus seat.
the best representation for my comfort level on my 12 hour flight. |
Ok, off to another dinner. Say a prayer for my pants!
